Building a educational video platform for Psyflix, a leader in mental healthcare
Psyflix is the Netflix of the psychotherapy world. Its content is created by and for mental health professionals, including leading educational institutes in the Netherlands.

Psyflix is a video streaming platform that hosts content created by and for medical health professionals and educational institutes in the Netherlands. Their content includes expert talks, webinars, role-plays, and real-patient demos.
Most Dutch mental health organizations are connected to Psyflix for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Practitioners can even earn accreditation points through Psyflix’s e-learning modules without attending conferences, making professional development more accessible and cost-effective.

The challenge
Psyflix needed to accelerate the development of its e-learning platform to grow in the market niche. It had an outsourced development team in place, but not only were they expensive, they weren’t delivering what the company needed.
Additionally, Psyflix had limited visibility over product development – they had no idea about the developers in the outsourced team or what they were doing. At the same time, the developers worked with other companies, leading to frequent delays and key sprint goals being missed.
What Psyflix needed was a dedicated team who would work solely with them. People they could actually build relationships with – like an extension of an in-house team committed to realizing a shared vision. That’s when a leading entrepreneur pointed them in the direction of Proshore.
The Approach
We started with a discovery call, during which where we discussed and identified the list of priority problems that needed fixing. This was before Psyflix decided to hand over the project.
From the initial conversations, we knew transparency over the project was important for Psyflix, so we assigned a dedicated Scrum Master, who is responsible for smooth onboarding and effective communication between Psyflix and the development team.
We then migrated all projects to JIRA – a project management tool, to help visualize the roadmap, including work to be done and completed. We started working in bi-weekly sprints with daily check-ins and messages through Slack, as well as weekly meetings.
These small changes have played an important role in strengthening the relationship between Proshore and Psyflix. We heard from their executives that an immediate impact was seen in the project flow and delivery time.
